ประมาณปี 2560 ข้าพเจ้ามีโอกาสได้เป็นโรคนิ่วในกรวยไตกับเขาเข้าบ้าง เริ่มต้นที่พบว่ามีอาการก่อนไปพบแพทย์ ข้าพเจ้าพบว่าปัสสาวะเป็นสีเหมือนน้ำโค้ก หรือเป๊บซี่ ทุกวันจันทร์ตอนเที่ยง ประมาณ 3 สัปดาห์ สอบถามภรรยาว่าป่วยเป็นอะไร ภรรยาที่น่ารักบอกว่า เธอดื่มกาแฟมากไปทำให้ปัสสาวะออกมาเป็นสีน้ำโค้ก หรือเป๊บซี่ แต่ที่น่าแปลกใจคือ ข้าพเจ้าดื่มกาแฟทุกเช้า แล้วทำไมถึงปัสสาวะเป็นสีผิดปกติทุกเที่ยงของวันจันทร์
ข้าพเจ้าพบว่าในหมอชาวบ้านมีวิธีการรักษาโดยนำแกนสัปปะรดมาต้มดื่ม ที่ข้าพเจ้าทำคือ นำแกนสัปปะรด ประมาณ 5 แกน กับน้ำสองแก้วต้มจนเหลือน้ำหนึ่งแก้วดื่มตอนเช้าก่อนอาหาร หลังจากดื่มไปแก้วแรก พบว่า ปัสสาวะออกมาเป็นสีชมพู นั่นแสดงว่ามีเลือดเจือปัสสาวะออกมาด้วย ข้าพเจ้าดื่มติดต่อกัน 5 วัน จนปัสสาวะมีสีใสเป็นปกติ
ซึ่งจากการใช้วิธีการรักษาตัวเองแบบนี้ทำให้นิ่วในตัวของข้าพเจ้าหายไป เผื่อใครเป็นโรคนี้จะนำไปใช้บ้างก็ไม่ว่ากัน เพราะการปวดท้องด้วยนิ่ว หรือปัสสาวะไม่ออกด้วยนิ่ว ไม่ใช่เรื่องน่ายินดีเลย
